To celebrate Canada Day with community spirit and service, the Rotary Club of Sarnia-Lambton After-Hours holds its annual Cans for Canada Day event -- a creative, community-driven food drive in support of our local food bank, The Inn of the Good Shepherd, while embracing the patriotic spirit of Canada Day. Rotarians, friends, and family come together to build a fun & festive parade float, then proceed to collect non-perishable items from the community along the City of Sarnia Canada Day parade route. The event is a fun and meaningful way to raise awareness about food insecurity while giving back to the community. Thanks to generous contributions from attendees, hundreds of cans are collected and donated to local food programs, helping stock the shelves at a time when need is high. Cans for Canada Day brings out the best of Rotary: creativity, camaraderie, and commitment to service above self. Thank you to all who donate and cheer us on! We can’t wait to see you along the parade route!
